Monday, January 17th. It was Martin Luther King Day, a holiday in the U.S.A. (p.6) The main character was a investigator. His name was Nat Marley. He lived in New York. One day, he got a phone call about his brother. Then he started a investigation. It was so exciting. His brother seemed worried all the time and his colleagues called Marley. The cause of his brother's trouble was not so easy. But Marley loves his brother so he tried to solve it. And he solved it eventually. I have a sister so if my sister was in trouble, I'd like to help her. Brotherly love is fantastic. Battersby, Alan. (2012). The Dark Side of the City. Cambridge : Cambridge University Press.

BR No.8 Review "Bad Company"

'It's murder.' he said. 'Someone hit her on the back of the head. It killed her.' (p.8) It was the story about murder. Like I said in BR No.6, I like to read detective novels. This time, I enjoyed to read this book too. There were four suspicions and police tried to find the real criminal. As story went on, some evidences were found. Then I guessed the real criminal. But it was wrong. I regretted it, so I will borrow detective novels and I want to try to guess the true criminal. In detail, there were the words which I didn't know. So I thought I should increase my vocabulary. MacAndrew, Richard. (2011). Bad Company. Cambridge: Cambridge University press.

BR No.7 Review "Little Women"

The place was a small town in Massachusetts, North America. (p.8) It was the story about poor family. Four sisters and their mother. Their father was away. They were poor but they never become submissive and help not only each others but their neighbors. Someday, they helped a man who was in trouble. And he was a rich person. Because of this help, that rich man started to help these women when these women were in trouble. It is a good thing that help each other. Good behavior; that you give someone, is going to back to you, certainly. Alcott, Louisa M. (1995). Little Women. Oxford: Oxford University Press.

BR No.6 Review "Inspector Logan"

"When did your wife go out?" asked Jenny Logan. (P.5) It was the story about the detective Logan's investigation. This time's case was a disappearance. I like to read books which police or detectives try to solve incidents in the story. I can predict who is the criminal while reading. It is so fun. This time I tried to listen to the audio. It was the first time to listen to the audio, so it feels fresh. The way of speaking makes sense of urgency. I'd like to borrow the book with the audio next time. MacAndrew, Richard. (2002). Inspector Logan. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.

BR No.5 "Romeo and Juliet"

"I've never seen anyone as beautiful as you. Can I hold your hand?, said Romeo." (p.9) It was a sad love story. I knew this book's title before I read, but I didn't know the story. I thought they would get married in the story. But they couldn't. They both eventually died. I think it is a very sad thing that someone can't love someone because of their family lines. This time I tried to read as fast as I can. I feel it was good for me, but it was little difficult to understand the story, so keep reading like this and I want to get used to this. William, Shakespeare. (1968). Romeo and Juliet . New York: Oxford Bookworms Playscripts.
